The 2014 Lagos Fashion and Design Week introduced us to many talented young designers like Gozel Green, T.I Nathan, Titi Belo, Frank Aghuno’s Fruche and Rayo. The program also introduced Adeju Thompson (then called Misfits of Lagos) who showed a collection so unique, he was immediately touted the next big thing.
Voluntarily, Thompson stepped away from the draining fashion cycle and began stocking at Stranger Lagos, releasing two capsule collections while he was there as well as a salon where he took made to order consultations.
This March, Adeju Thompson will return to the big stage with the presentation of his first major collection since he showed his debut collection ‘System Error’ at the 2014 Lagos Fashion and Design Week. Though the designer has released two capsule collections between his first showing and now done some design work for a mass market womenswear retailer, many look forward to his showing to determine the brand’s aesthetic.
With two years of research behind it, this will quite literally be a collection to see.
The presentation will happen on the 19th of March at the Stranger store in Lekki Phase One and will see the designer define his direction as a label.
