Hullo Ladies,
Everything about you for your wedding should be perfect, from your wedding dress to your makeup and of course your hair. That day comes only once (assuming it is with someone you want to spend the rest of your life with and not a stopover). Also, you do not want any of your friends, cousins or siblings to outshine you on your special day. The day is yours and the focus is generally on you and not the groom as he’d most likely be dressed in a normal (albeit expensive) suit or tuxedo as per usual.
You must make sure everything is perfect and the hairstyle is one of the most important. Remember as discussed in the previous article, your hair should complement your dress and especially the neckline. It should complement your looks too. You don’t want to look like a stranger to yourself and others on that day.
Your wedding hair should be offered a lot of attention, same as your makeup, wedding dress and accessories. While some of your guests may focus their attention on your dress, some others will focus on your makeup and some your hair. There will be others who will scrutinize the appearance as a whole (hardly ever to your face though) Whichever aspect your guests are putting their focus on, you just have to ensure that each aspect is spectacular to the eyes – no just for your guests but for yourself as you take a look at your picture later. You do not want any regrets.
Most times, brides prefer to have their hair up in different ways you know just to play it safe. This style tends to fit most veils, faces, dress styles and necklines. These days though, more brides are being more daring y letting gorgeous locks flow; this gives a more romantic look in my opinion.
You can experiment a little too if you are the type- here’s a bride with lovely french braids which of course, you can add accessories to.
The messy knot – also works well for brides who want their hair up but not in the traditional bun. This would work also if you want to show off your neckline or if you have a high graceful neck.

The following two pictures show two different ways you can accessorize on a semi up-do. Simple yet elegant. Of course there are other ways but I favour these a lot.
The half up- half down is always a winner for me, it’s cute, chic and sexy all at the same time. Especially with the addition of the braid.
The following pictures just show suggestions for different lovely, simple and elegant hairstyles that go well with whatever veil or dress you might have picked out.
NOTE: it is always wise to take the veil along with you to the hairdressing salon when doing a trial run.
Lastly for the natural haired sistahs!
