Following the meteoric rise of Bolajo Fawehimi’s Few Models from obscure new comer to major players in the Nigerian modelling industry, we’ve seen a lot more agencies clean up their act and get professional. We’ve also seen new agencies like Fowler Models spring up to pick up the slack and fill the niches that still exist in model casting. And man is Fowler models doing a good job of finding and grooming that unconventional male model.
These are our three favourites from the agency.
Oguejiofor Michael

Oguejiofor might not have landed any huge editorials yet, but he definitely has that quiet intensity that can carry labels with a much more mature audience. The pretty light skinned campaign model is cute but a little saturated, Michael makes us wish more labels would go dark.
Tunji Hamzat

Forget what we said about light skinned models, Tunji Hamzat makes us take it all back. Already walking at the Lagos Fashion Week for Fashion Focus finalist Onwuchekwa BCD and fronting the label’s editorial campaign for it’s Fall 16 collection, Tunji is already well on his way to becoming a huge star. With his highlighted fade and his distinctive walk, Tunji can literally sell anything.
Tunji D

What’s better than one Tunji? Two, of course. Fowler Model’s Tunjis have already worked together on the Onwuchekwa BCD editorial for its 2016 Spring collection and Tunji D serves as the perfect contrast to Tunji Hamzat, athletic where Hamzat is svelte, chocolate to his mocha, the best of both worlds really. We cannot wait to see him front editorials all on his own.
Fowler is still building a portfolio and from their official Instagram handle, we can see it has quite a few models in development. They’re definitely one to watch out for in the coming months.
