Look for Less: Freida Pinto in Burberry Fall 2016

It’s not often that we find a design by an international brand that has a near perfect symbiote from a Nigerian designer, especially not one as close as this. This is why we are stoked to bring you a look for less post.

Freida Pinto wore this embellished Floral dress from the Burberry Spring 16 collection for an event yesterday, and it totally reminded us of an entire collection we’ve seen before (one that came thankfully well before this collection was put out by Burberry).

Look for less

It is the perfect 7o’s inspired cocktail dress, demure while obviously, undeniably dripping class, with a jumble of well co-ordinated colours to boot. Now this dress is pretty pricey (it retails for more than one thousand pounds a pop,) not to worry we’ve found you, not one, not two, but three close alternatives to give you the look and vibe from the right era while saving your wallet a load of cash and helping you buy Nigerian.

Debuted at the 2015 Lagos Fashion and Design Week showcase, Precious Owoghiri’s Revamp has slowly made a name for itself as Port Harcourt’s biggest fashion export alongside Akpos Okudu and this 70’s inspired Vintage Allure Spring 16 collection ticks all our boxes. Especially these three dresses.

This is a much more tailored look, but still very much in line with the general aesthetic of Pinto’s burberry dress
If youre not sure about pleats and want a dress that has floral accents and ticks all the boxes era wise, this is your dress.
This is our top pick, it has everything, everythannnng.

Think we nailed it, tell us in the comments.

Peace and love folks.
